Many evidence informed chiropractors, physical therapists, and athletic trainers graduate education rich and application deficient. They spend countless hours on continuing education prior to graduating, but simply don’t have the patient base to apply their amazing skill set.
Dr. Curt Kippenberger was fortunate early on due to the guidance of mentors to recognize this gap in musculoskeletal triage and treatment.
“The clinic/gym model does a beautiful job at bridging the gap between pain relief, prevention, and performance, which is essentially our vision statement for our patients”.
Dr. Kippenberger founded Focus On Health Chiropractic in 2010: he envisioned an integrative gym setting from the beginning, but couldn’t seem to piece the puzzle together. He was exposed to Dr. Greg Rose and the SFMA in early 2012 and later that year, met Dr. Josh Satterlee at his first seminar. Every skill he obtained from the University of Missouri as an athletic trainer, a performance coach, and as an elite amateur cyclist seamlessly coalesced with the most common denominator of the Functional Movement Systems.
After 5 years of operating purely within the FMS model, Dr. Kippenberger launched the Movement Lab inside Focus On Health. With the help of Dr. Saterlee, and Clinic Gym Hybrid Solutions, the two businesses act as cogwheels serving up the best musculoskeletal healthcare in Mid-Missouri.
Dr. Kippenberger’s passion to teach led him to become an instructor for Clinic Gym Hybrid Solutions. He also teaches for cousin companies such as the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, the Motion Palpation Institute, and offers evidence informed chiropractors a safe haven for business consulting through Dr. Kevin Christie’s Modern Chiropractic Marketing.
In his spare time, you can find Dr. Kippenberger fleeing to the outdoors with his high school sweetheart and business partner Krista, their two girls Kaydence and Matti, and ornery Brittany Spaniel Fitz. The family enjoys cycling of all disciplines (primarily mountain biking), rock climbing, hiking and skiing.
“The best is yet to come for the chiropractic profession, and I wholeheartedly believe the clinic/gym model is the crossroads to exceptional clinical results and a lifestyle that will leave everyone you interact with overwhelming satisfied!”
